What people are saying about Bryan Ferry

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ferry - Timeless and classy. 22 April 2016 - I have been a Roxy/Ferry fan since the beginning and have seen them many times. This concert was up there with the best. I have always liked the London Palladium as a venue ever since Bryan Eno and Robert Fripp played there in the early seventies. The view was brilliant and the concert superb. Great mix of old and new numbers and the crescendo of all the classic "get off your backsides and dance" numbers was worth the entrance fee alone. I always feel rejuvenated after a Bryan Ferry concert and I'm looking forward to Stamford in the June. I would just love "The In Crowd" added to the set list. That would be perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Style over substance London Paladium was a great location and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Support act - Emily Burns, was well received and a pleasant surprise. Worth a You Tube view and further listen. Bryan Ferry appeared and his band provided a great sound. However, his voice was very weak and off-key. Absolutes cringing at the end of Oh Yeah. My wife and I love his songs, but we're very disappointed. We left after nine songs and felt cheated. We had travelled from the south coast and paid for a VIP Experience too. What we received was a 'Whitney Houston' moment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The old slave to love can still turn it on! Bryan Ferry definitely has a presence. Ladies of a certain age are made to swoon especially by his harmonica playing. He has such a huge back catalogue that there is bound to be disappointment that he can't perform everyone's favourites, but he made a good stab at pleasing most people. From Virginia Plain and Do the Strand to Let's Stick Together, Slave to Love and more recent efforts the set spanned his whole opus. His voice still stands up well, and his band are excellent. The sound is true to the originals, and his backing singers and alto saxophonist standing in for Andy Mackay are wonderful. Four of us went. We all had a great time. The only thing that slightly marred it for me was the woman next to me who forbade me from taking photographs, saying 'it was not allowed'. Was it not? And who decreed it? And what business was it of hers?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bryan Ferry still has it in abundance! As an avid fan of Bryan Ferry this concert certainly didn't disappoint. He was as usual stylish and seductive. A mixture of new material interspersed with the old classics from his Roxy Music days. What an experience, his end tracks of Love is the Drug and Jealous Guy brought the house down. His backing musicians were superb, with solos on both saxoohone and violin. You left certainly wanting more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BRYAN FERRY IN CONCERT - THE BEST EVER - DO NOT MISS HIM!!! A fabulous evening for the three of us, one of whom had been a fan for 30 years and not had the opportunity to see Bryan live. Mr. Ferry did not disappoint; as generous as ever with his performance to the audience and making sure his musicians were not forgotten. An absolute thrill and delight to be able to enjoy an evening with a performer who has lost none of his charm and talent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mr cool is back At the age of 70, no man has the right to be so suave. Although a slow start, he rolled out his catalogue from early 70's classic Virginia Plain through to Jealous Guy with ultimate ease. Avalon sent shivers down the spine with some excellent back up harmonies. He is has the charisma and appears to enjoy live performances. Here's to the next 70. A true legend...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brilliant, always loved Bryan Ferry and he is still just as good Dragged my husband with me to this event and even he loved it. The performance was excellent and the venue has always been an easy one for us. Although the show was rearranged due to Bryan Ferry being unwell I was prepared to wait, however we were lucky to be able to go as we were flying to America the following day, so glad we managed it.
